Guelph, Canada – July 26, 2011. Since the start of her amateur career FUSION BODYBUILDING® has recognized and sponsored Jodi Boam. Now after only two IFBB pro shows she’s already won her place at the big show, the Olympia. It’s hard to keep up with the achievements of one of Canada’s newest fitness pros. Jodi first started getting serious attention when she placed third at Canadian Nationals. However, it was only last year that she took first at Canadian Nationals and became the youngest IFBB pro in Canada. Soon after, she was planning her very first pro competition, and she didn’t have her sights aimed low. Jodi premiered at the prestigious 2011 New York Pro. Out of a field of seventeen fitness competitors, most with years of pro-level competition under their belts, Jodi came away with fifth place and a better understanding of what it takes to win. Jodi took that experience to heart, putting it all together just two months later for the Toronto Pro Supershow. Competing against fourteen other fitness competitors, Jodi showed everyone how it’s done by taking first place. Jodi put on an impressive display not only for the audience but also for the judges. Judging scorecards reveal that Jodi took first place by a solid five points.

“I was looking forward to the Toronto Pro. I felt awesome, my diet and routine were going well, plus it was my local show, so I knew I was going to have a huge cheering section there!” says Jodi. “I always push myself to do better, and even though I was thrilled to be in the top five at the New York Pro, I knew there was room for improvement. The day of the Toronto show, I was looking great, and I knew that I had a real chance to place high, but I was still a little stunned when I took first. I can’t believe I’m going to the Olympia!”
